Description
As of December 2022 Le Zie have decided to honor Salvatore Diglio, who run the local mill in Durazzano, by using his own produced EVOO, Diglio. The Diglio family have produced their own Extra Virgin Olive Oil in southern Italy since 1925. The picturesque farm
in Benevento, north of Naples, is today managed by Diglio Salvatore. To produce a superior quality Olive Oil, Salvatore follows the ancient craft he learnt from his family, a tradition refined around the Mediterranean Sea for several thousands of years. Each olive is carefully handpicked when the olives ripe and turn color from green to black/brown. Thereafter the olives are sent to Diglio’s
Mill in Durrazzano, to be mechanically cold pressed within a couple of hours. The result is an unfiltered olive oil with
low acidity and packed with healthy polyphenols. Diglio’s Olive Oil is a blend including cultivars e.g. Leccino, Frantoio,
